Children

What We

Believe

We believe that children should not only hear about Jesus, but also experience Him! In a world where Sunday morning seems to be one of the most culturally segregated days of the week, we have a beautiful, racially diverse children’s ministry. We partner with the Hispanic Centro De Salvacion church next door and welcome their children into our space each Sunday and to our Youth group. This means that our children’s leaders are bilingual.

Children love our “one-room schoolhouse” approach. Siblings can stay together in the same room, meaning transition times for many children is easier! It also allows our children to build intergenerational relationships, and for our older children to mentor and model for our younger ones.

What We Offer

Ages 3 through fifth grade

Children from age 3 through fifth grade have their own place in a separate unit down the sidewalk from the worship center during our 10:30 a.m. service. We use food as a core piece of our ministry – sharing a meal together is important. We also incorporate dance and music.

Nursery

We have a nursery at both the 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services for infants through age 2.

“First Friday”

During the school year, there is a “First Friday” program for children to have a special time together with food and fun, and for the adults in their lives to have a break and build their own relationships.

FAQs

Since our children’s building is located outside of our main worship space, we have greeters available to walk your family down to that space and get you checked in with the team. Once there you will be warmly greeted by our Children’s Leaders and sign your child in.

Yes. We keep all the exterior doors locked at all times. We also maintain a small ratio of Children’s Leaders to children, so that they are always watched and cared. There are also cameras in the children’s area and the nursery that are monitored for security purposes.

All ages of children are invited to be part of our Children’s Ministry. We have a ‘one room center’ where children starting at age 3 up to children aged 10 learn together. Often, we even have some youth helpers who enjoy assisting the younger ones with crafts and other activities.

A typical Sunday will consist of a bible-centered lesson, play time, craft activity, breakfast, and music/dancing. There is never a lack of activities for your child to engage in.
