Daniel Burbage
Daniel Burbage was born in Beaufort, SC, and spent his childhood in Sheldon, SC, here in Beaufort County.
He attended Wofford College and graduated in 2000 with a degree in religion and after graduation worked as a youth minister/parish administrator as well as the Christian formation director at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Columbia, SC. After serving in that capacity for several years Daniel went to Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC and received a Masters of Divinity. Daniel has been pastoring churches for over 16 years and has a heart for missions and serving the community.
His sermon’s are challenging and offer practical ways found in the Bible to live out your faith in our community. His vision is for The New Bluffton Worship to be a community of faith that is different from the norm. The New Bluffton Worship is a dream come true for him and he cannot wait for what’s next.
Monica Barricks
Monica Barricks was born in Fairfax, VA, and has been serving churches in many capacities for over 15 years including youth and children’s ministry.
Monica graduated from George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia, with a degree in Psychology.
She is actively pursuing finishing her seminary degree, which was started at Wesley Seminary.
Monica’s role at The New Bluffton Worship is to oversee all functional and administrative activities of our community of faith so that we accomplish our vision of worshipping, learning and serving Jesus Christ.
Like Daniel, her vision is for our community of faith to be different than “normal” church.
Sloane Holley
Youth Ministry
We want to extend a warm welcome to our Youth Mininstry leader and newest band member, Sloane Holley, who plays violin. Sloane is originally from Atlanta, Georgia.
Sloane is not just about the music, she’s the force at the helm of our youth ministry, igniting spirits and guiding hearts. After high school graduation in 2020, she ventured to North Carolina, but found herself drawn back to Bluffton in early 2023.
Returning to our church family in June 2023, Sloane wanted to do more and by September she was our youth ministry, bringing a fresh and dynamic perspective.
Sloane is not just a talented musician and leader, she’s also interned at a wildlife rehabilitation facility, igniting her passion for the animal kingdom. She dreams of pursuing Animal Science to elevate her career in the wild world of wildlife!

The Bluffton Worship Band is led by Wayne Altman with a group of talented musicians who love to praise God through the gift of music. Bluffton Worship is a casual non-traditional service all ages enjoy.
